Looking back as a means of looking forward, Earl Cruze's stories from the past help color the road ahead for Colleen Cruze and the next generation of southern dairy farmers.
Colleen Cruze Bhatti
A century ago, O.H. and Ida Belle Cruze milked cows and sold butter and buttermilk from a one horse wagon to residents of Knoxville, Tennessee. Today, Jersey cows graze the natural pastures growing along the fertile banks of the French Broad River in Knox County, Tennessee and grandson, Earl Cruze, and great granddaughter, Colleen Cruze, continue the family’s dairy tradition.
